We had no expectations for LA, our main aim for this stop being to catch up on some much needed rest. We found there isn’t much to do in LA if you’re on a tight budget and don’t want to drive around in traffic for hours to get from place to place. We went to the main (free) attractions: Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Boulevard, Venice Beach and canals and Santa Monica. And drove around almost everywhere else, including our rundown neighbourhood where our cheap motel was located. The weather wasn’t great also, so we worked on the blog and also tried out the country-famous ‘In ‘n Out’ burger place, although we didn’t really get what all the hype was about. One good omen though: we found 200 pesos (like 10 euros) in the dryer at the laundromat, just in time for our trip to Mexico!
